A figure in the scientific program E=M6, French host Olivier Lesgourgues – known as Mac Lesggy – has established himself on the small screen. Alongside his wife Carole, 20 years his junior, the trained engineer has been in love for more than ten years. A happiness that he shared in particular with our colleagues atHere Parison May 6.

Mac Lesggy: his secrets about his children and step-children, aged 8 to 30
During an interview given to Here ParisMac Lesggy indulged in some confidences about his family. “Not at all, none!” he exclaims about his children’s interest in science. “It seems that I have encouraged many young people to embark on scientific studies, but as far as my children are concerned, it is a big failure, they followed careers that have nothing to do with science.“
A few lines later, Carole’s husband dwells on their daily life as a blended family. “I have three children (Julie, Émilie and Victor, from his first union with Annabelleeditor’s note) and three stepchildren, whose ages range from 8 to 30“, explains Mac Lesggy. “I always say that children help to stay young. And I now have two grandchildren. The last time everyone got together was for Christmas. A real happiness“, adds the host.
Mac Lesggy’s memory of his “Covid” marriage to Carole
A pillar of Mac Lesggy since 2020, Carole occupies a special place in his life. With her three children, alongside her husband, she forms a united and warm family. For Here Paristhe host notably returned to their atypical marriage six years ago, in the midst of the Covid health crisis.
“It was a bit special“, he recalls before continuing: “We got married between the first and second confinement. For the record, my father-in-law, a great virologist, advised us not to do it or without organizing a party.“
For the couple, it is impossible to postpone the date. The marriage will happen or it will not happen! Finally, the couple will say yes without any problem. “We still made a small one (de fête, editor’s note) and avoiding creating these famous “clusters”…“An unusual moment that the two lovebirds won’t soon forget!
