The high-Garonnais football community is in mourning. Tim Savini, goalkeeper of the U15 team at A.S. Lafitte-Vigordane, tragically passed away on May 2nd at the age of 14, victim of a cardiac arrest at his home. This tragedy has deeply saddened his relatives, his club, and the entire regional football community. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact circumstances of his death.
In a statement, the Haute-Garonne Football District expressed their immense sorrow after the announcement of this sudden loss. “The President, the officials, the employees, as well as the entire family of high-Garonnais football extend their heartfelt condolences to his family, his loved ones, his teammates, his coaches, and the entire club of Lafitte-Vigordane,” the departmental body wrote, honoring the memory of a young football enthusiast, a teammate, a friend, taken away too soon. The emotion within the A.S. Lafitte-Vigordane club is still profound. His loss has created a significant void in the hearts of those who shared his daily life on and off the field. In this terrible ordeal, the leaders, coaches, and volunteers have conveyed their condolences to his family, his loved ones, and all of his teammates.
A solidarity fund has also been launched by A.S.L.V, with the funds being directed to his family. Since the tragedy, messages of support have been pouring in on social media, including one from Toulouse FC towards the family and the high-Garonnais club. An additional tribute will be paid this Sunday during the match between A.S. Lafitte Vigordane and Carbonne, scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Gerard Bendichou stadium.
