The troupe of the Knights of the Lands of Occitanie launched the Goudargues medieval festival on Thursday May 14. The costume parade inaugurates three days of festivities at the Val de Cèze camp, open until May 16 at 7 p.m.
The knights took Goudargues back several centuries, Thursday May 14. On the occasion of the medieval festival, the troop of Knights of the Lands of Occitanie paraded through the streets of Venice Gard under the curious gaze of residents and visitors installed on the terrace.

Despite a few drops of rain, the riders and their mounts did not lose their presence. Draped in red, purple or gold, caparisoned horses, Occitan banners flying in the wind and period costumes brought an atmosphere worthy of the medieval fairs of yesteryear. Behind the horsemen, ladies, gentlemen, soldiers and beggars went up the main axis of the village before taking the rue du Lavoir then the approaches to the canals.

To the rhythm of footsteps and hooves, the troop went to meet the Goudarguais. The extras also distributed posters and scrolls to announce the official launch of the festivities.
