Born in the wake of Pride Estuaire, the Born This West association was created in Saint-Nazaire with the ambition of bringing diversity and artistic creation to life throughout the year. Its official launch will take place on Friday June 19, 2026 from 7 p.m. at the Kiosk.

The Pride Estuaire event on May 30, which brought together several hundred people around an associative village, a protest march and a festive evening, revealed a strong expectation on the Nazaire territory: to have permanent spaces for meeting, expression and creation where everyone can feel free to be yourself.

An association born from the Pride March

It is from this observation that two of the co-organizers of Pride Estuaire founded Born This West.

The association intends to develop cultural and festive events, artistic shows and performances, awareness-raising actions and citizen meetings, with the aim of a territory that is more inclusive and more visible in its diversity. Saint-Nazaire is the starting point, but the dynamic aims to extend to the municipalities of the Loire estuary, the Brière natural park and the Atlantic coast, from the Côte d’Amour to the Côte de Jade.

Culture, creation and living together all year round

For its inaugural evening entitled “Mise à Flow”, the program combines meetings with the founding members, presentation of upcoming projects, unveiling of the logo, drag performances and DJ set. On-site catering will be offered for the benefit of the Collectif Urgence Sociale, and the illustrator Mr. BenPokou, author of the Pride Estuaire poster, will offer a sale of original creations.

The entry is free from 1 euro.
