  • A nine-story residential building collapsed.
  • The Ukrainian president visited the site this Friday to observe a day of mourning.

Volodymyr Zelensky paid tribute to the dozens of victims of a violent Russian attack perpetrated on the night of Wednesday May 13 to Thursday May 14. This affected a dozen districts of kyiv and its region, leaving 47 injured and 24 dead, including three children. This toll could rise further since emergency services are still working this Friday to clear the rubble of a collapsed building in the Darnytskyi district.

The Ukrainian president went there to honor the memory of the victims. “I send my sincere condolences to all those who have lost family members and loved ones to this barbaric terror,” he wrote on X. “The world must remember the price Ukraine pays every day so that Russian aggression does not spread to other nations”he added.
