The IT services group Atos announced on Monday that its cybersecurity branch Eviden had obtained a contract with the Luxembourg army, the amount of which was not specified.
“This contract is part of the cooperation agreement between Belgium and Luxembourg for the creation of a mid-range combat reconnaissance battalion, based on operational and digital convergence aligned with the French SCORPION standard,” Atos said in its press release.
Eviden will equip the Luxembourg army with a training platform for the Scorpion combat information system (SICS). The company will also study the digitalization of Luxembourg forces’ vehicles in order to make them interoperable with the new generation of “CaMo” vehicles (motorized capacity).
Luxembourg purchased 54 CaMo vehicles as part of the creation of a binational battalion with Belgium.
Eviden is the branch of Atos dedicated to cybersecurity products, critical systems and video analysis.
