Russian troops have intensified their offensive operations along virtually the entire front line; Ukrainian defense forces are actively defending and have regained control of nearly 50 km² of territory in March.

“We must regain the strategic initiative, which is why we are conducting active defense. This allowed our troops to regain control of nearly 50 km² of territory in March that was previously occupied by the enemy,” said the Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.

According to him, the Russian aggressor is suffering significant losses but is not abandoning its invasion plans of Ukraine.

The Commander-in-Chief stated that the activities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are being summarized monthly, accompanied by an analysis of the actions taken and the results obtained: “During an open discussion, we identify the strengths and weaknesses of the operations conducted, learn lessons from our own experience, and improve our effectiveness.”

He mentioned that with the change in weather conditions, the enemy has intensified its offensive operations and is practically carrying them out along the entire length of the front line, which stretches for 1,200 km.

“We are countering Russian quantity with Ukrainian quality in conducting operations, forcing the enemy to play by our rules and constantly delaying the execution of its missions. In order to reduce the enemy’s offensive capabilities, we are maintaining a high intensity of strikes against military installations, defense industry sites, and other targets on Russian territory that support the operations of the occupiers,” stated the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

He also mentioned that in March, 76 such targets were hit by Deep Strike means, including 15 that were oil industry installations.

The General Sirskyi also received reports on the state of mobilization and recruitment, logistical support, fortification equipment of defense lines, training and restoring combat capability of units, and the maintenance of order in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
