Nespresso has just unveiled its new commercial featuring Dua Lipa, but its famous ambassador George Clooney is still making an appearance.

Swiss brand just revealed its latest ad starring its newly appointed figurehead: Dua Lipa, who is playfully stepping on the territory of the historic ambassador, George Clooney. In this new spot, George Clooney must deal with a new rival. (Context: Nespresso released a new ad featuring Dua Lipa and George Clooney.) When it comes to treating us with ads as sharp as they are humorous, we can always count on Nespresso, George Clooney, and his iconic “What Else?” But now, after twenty years of undisputed reign over the Swiss company, the nearly 65-year-old actor must face competition from a young and hungry successor. We’re talking about Dua Lipa, recently named as the global ambassador for the Swiss brand. This is sure to encourage Gen Z, the Alpha generation, and all the followers to indulge in the creamy foam of a triple-matcha Nespresso vanilla-caramel coffee. The keywords? “New era. New ambassador. New machine. And even bolder coffees.” (Source: Watson) We discover the pop star deep in thought in a Nespresso store, undecided between a strong espresso, a voluptuous vanilla latte, a robust Colombian, a lavender decaf, or even an iced coffee, which she imagines sipping by the pool. Of course, Nespresso wouldn’t be what it is without some (more or less) discreet appearances by George Clooney, who seems to have a hard time letting go and giving up his superstar role. The actor is keen to remind his understudy, by the end of the commercial, that the famous “What Else” is his phrase.
