The Voice: The Most Beautiful Voice
Follow the latest news of “The Voice” live on “20 Minutes” through our articles and live commentary. The Voice is a French music television show broadcast on TF1 since 2012. The concept of the show involves a singing competition where contestants are judged solely on their voice, without the judges seeing their physical appearance.
The program is hosted by Nikos Aliagas and features four judges, called coaches, who are established artists in the French music scene. The coaches are responsible for selecting the contestants they want to train to advance as far as possible in the competition.
During the different stages of the show, contestants face challenges such as blind auditions, battles, and knockout stages. During the blind auditions, the coaches sit in swiveling chairs and listen to the contestants sing without seeing them. If they are impressed by the contestant’s voice, they can press a button to turn around and see their appearance.
During the battles, two contestants compete with the same song and the coach must choose which one continues in the competition. During the knockout stages, each coach must select the contestants they want to send through to the live shows.
The show has been highly successful in France since its creation, with significant viewership and contestants who have become famous like Kendji Girac or Louane. The Voice is now broadcast in many countries around the world, with localized adaptations for each market.
