Through actions to promote investment and tourism, and increased cooperation with foreign partners, local communities are gradually implementing the Party’s foreign policy, thus creating additional resources for their development. This confirms the relevance of an independent, autonomous, multilateral and diversified Vietnamese foreign policy.
Foreign relations broaden the scope of development.
In recent days, the provincial delegation, led by Comrade Pham Anh Tuan – member of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Communist Party, deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee – has carried out numerous activities to promote investment and tourism, and collaborate with important organizations and enterprises Korean companies such as the Korea Small and Medium Business Association (KBIZ), HanaTour Company, GlassDome Company and many other potential investors.
During these meetings, the delegation presented the exceptional strengths of high-tech agriculture, processing industry, renewable energy, logistics, tourism and the green economy.
The promotion of charter flights from South Korea to Gia Lai, the promotion of the National Year of Tourism – Gia Lai 2026 with the theme “The big forest touches the blue sea”, and the call to invest in green industries, carbon credits and digital transformation demonstrate that the locality proactively seizes integration opportunities to create new growth engines.

Gia Lai not only collaborates with South Korea, but also develops its partnerships with China, Japan, France and many other countries. These initiatives help to attract investments, expand export markets, promote the local image and strengthen competitiveness in a context of ever greater international integration.
In practice, external relations are no longer simply an activity of exchange, but have become an important resource for development, helping local communities to participate progressively more deeply in regional and international economic links.

Integration based on independence and autonomy.
During the recent conference to disseminate Resolution No. 06-NQ/TW of May 19, 2026 of the Political Bureau relating to the implementation of the foreign policy guidelines of the XIV Party Congress, the General Secretary and President To Lam particularly insisted on the fact that the foreign policy of the new era must be based on the principles of “strategic autonomy” and “self-sufficiency”. This principle also allows local authorities, including Gia Lai, to develop their cooperation. internationally while preserving their independence and autonomy.
However, hostile forces frequently distort the truth, claiming that Vietnam is “leaning toward one country,” “depending on another,” or losing its independence in matters of policy. The development practices of the country and local communities demonstrate the opposite.
Vietnam’s foreign policy is consistently based on the principles of independence, autonomy, peace, friendship, cooperation and development; to be a friend, a reliable partner and a responsible member of the international community.
Expanding relations with China, Japan, South Korea, the United States, the European Union and other countries is aimed at securing resources for national development, not taking sides against each other.
Gia Lai puts this spirit into practice by actively cooperating with various partners on the basis of equality and mutual interest. This cooperation is reflected in particular by collaboration with South Korea in the fields of tourism and industrial development; with Japan in human resources training and advanced agriculture; with China in the areas of logistics and the expansion of export markets; and with European partners in the fields of sustainable development and heritage preservation. This diversity of cooperative relations clearly illustrates the independent and autonomous foreign policy defined by the Party.

In addition, the results of investment promotion, tourism promotion and expansion of international cooperation are gradually creating new impetus for the socio-economic development of the locality.
Projects in the fields of tourism, renewable energies and processing industries; the expansion of export markets; partnerships with international travel companies; and cooperation on digital transformation, carbon credits and green industries all produce concrete results.

In particular, the growing interest of international companies and organizations in cooperation and investment opportunities in Gia Lai continues to demonstrate the attractiveness of this locality in the integration process.
Gia Lai’s experience shows that the Party’s foreign policy is realized through cooperation programs, investment projects and development opportunities that bring concrete benefits to the population and businesses.
These results not only contribute to effectively mobilizing external resources for local development, but they also affirm the value and effectiveness of the independent, autonomous, multilateral and diversified foreign policy that the Party has defined.
