The event also contributes to Vietnam’s influence in the automotive industry by highlighting innovations linked to cars, motorcycles and cutting-edge automotive technologies. It attracts a varied international audience, made up of both professionals and individuals.
A highly anticipated new edition
Jointly organized by the Asia Trade Fair and the Exhibition Joint Stock Company under the patronage of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, this event is considered one of the most prestigious and well-organized trade fairs in the country.
The planning of this edition with the participation of the Vietnamese Association of Industries and Support and the Vietnamese Association of Automobile, Motorcycle and Bicycle, testifies to the desire to reach stakeholders and an ever-increasing audience. According to forecasts, 250 exhibitors and 17,000 visitors are expected over the 4 days, making the show a leading automotive event.
Reflection of the importance of the automobile sector in Vietnam
The anticipation of this event and the success generated each year reveals the growing importance of the automobile sector in the Vietnamese economy. Indeed, the market shows double-digit growth in 2025 with nearly 376,000 vehicles sold. By October 2025, VAMA sales had already increased by 24%. In March 2026, sales experienced a strong peak, notably thanks to the demand for electric and hybrid vehicles.
Vietnam is among the top 50 car exporting countries in the world and is the 4th in the sector in Southeast Asia, with VinFast being the leading company in the sector in the country. The latter plays a major role in the development of the market for more environmentally friendly vehicles, particularly aimed at the Philippines and Indonesia.
A show at the heart of the sector’s current concerns
This meeting also demonstrates the constant efforts made with a view to developing technologies that respond to current issues in the automotive industry. Indeed, the design and construction of cars and means of transport is today inseparable from a necessary “green transition” in order to limit the effects of these new polluting products on the environment.
The transition to “green” vehicles is accelerating, with a 25 to 30% increase in sales of these vehicles in Vietnam in 2025. This show is therefore also an opportunity to present ecological and technological innovations allowing the field to develop without depleting the planet’s resources.
