Partners and organizers united around the Alpine A290.
After a 21st edition that crowned the Spanish José Maria Ortiz de Pinedo in Le Puy-en-Velay in 2025, the International Open of France Pitch & Putt, organized by the FPP association, will make a stop at the UGolf de Mionnay from May 8 to 10. This year, the tournament, orchestrated by Patrick Giraud, president of France Pitch & Putt, will be accompanied by Alpine Store Lyon. A partnership that highlights the commitment of the Lyon dealership of the French Premium automotive brand, led by the RGG group (editor’s note Renault Retail Group) to make its presence felt in the Rhône golfing landscape.
For three days, this tournament will bring together the best players in the specialty. In addition to the French players, the presence of Spaniards, Portuguese, Dutch, Italians, as well as two handicapped golfers and the international Noa Auch-Roy will be noted.
During the presentation of the event on Thursday, April 23 in the Dombes, Patrick Giraud will emphasize “Our goal remains to contribute to the democratization of golf through Pitch & Putt, which is more easily accessible.” He added, “With the Open de France, we can reach an audience that is not necessarily already a golfer. This allows beginners to integrate into clubs. It is a real stepping stone towards playing 18 holes!” And the director of the site in Ain, Éric Lacoux, explained, “Today, we need to think about golf differently. Pitch & putt is technically and physically easier, faster to play. More playful and fun, it is a gateway for young people, hoping to develop the talents of tomorrow! ” And he noted, “We now have a superb facility at Mionnay with real obstacles and fairly designed greens.”
This major event in a booming discipline will be a great way to discover the GolfFlower course and the facilities of the host club, especially the 9 holes. Throughout the weekend, many activities will also be offered, including the presence of an Alpine Store Lyon test center and the new models A290 and A390 or the iconic A110. A great golf celebration is announced.
