A modular architecture designed for operational adaptability

The Trident is architected as a short-, medium- and long-range system whose configuration varies according to the operational needs of the customer. Beyond guided surface-to-air missiles, it integrates weapon systems based on cannons, anti-drone devices and elements of electronic warfare or jamming.

In standard configuration, the system uses several types of surface-to-air missiles covering ranges of up to 100 km equipped with infrared and radio frequency seekers. A Trident battery includes several specialized vehicles: a fire control center, missile launch and reloading vehicles, AESA mobile 3D radars with ranges of 200 km and 470 km depending on the model, and a maintenance support vehicle. In extended configuration, the system can be enriched with anti-drone combat elements including dedicated radars, precision weapons with field effect munitions and specialized interceptors.

The production and integration of the Trident involves several companies in the CSG group as well as an established foreign partner. Excalibur International, the group’s key air defense entity, is responsible for the architecture and main integration of the system. Retia manufactures the radars and supplies the command and control system, including the modular ReCUBE platform serving as a mobile command center. Tatra Trucks supplies the Tatra Force chassis that support the system elements, while Tatra Defense develops and produces the armored cabins, superstructures and launch systems.

Roketsan, a Turkish company and strategic partner of the group, supplies short, medium and long range surface-to-air missiles as well as launch structures. This cooperation combines Czech experience in vehicle platforms, radar technologies and system integration with the ballistic capabilities of the Turkish partner, a model that has already proven itself in previous Excalibur International projects.

Major contracts in Southeast Asia confirming the group’s trajectory

Excalibur International has won major contracts in Southeast Asia in recent years. In April 2026, the group concluded contracts in this region worth almost 2.5 billion USD for the supply of several batteries of multi-layer air defense systems on Tatra chassis, including the systems themselves, extended logistics support, personnel training, supplies of spare parts, supporting infrastructure and arranging export financing.
