Diane Parry made a nice start to open its grass season in 2026. Back after its round of 16 at Roland-Garros, the Habs got the better of world No. 23 Clara Tauson in the first round of the WTA 500 tournament in Berlin.

The new French n°1 then won in two sets, with a clear score of 6-3, 6-4 after 1h29 of play.

Diane Parry en reconquête du top 50

Currently 60th in the WTA rankings, Diane Parry has a chance, with this solid success, to re-enter the top 50 at the end of the week. Indeed, the Frenchwoman virtually moves to 46th in the world, although she has never been, in her career, better ranked than 48th.

Another big challenge awaits her in the next round, as she will face world No. 13 Linda Noskova for a place in the quarter-finals. As a reminder, the Niçoise had to go through the qualifications in Berlin, during which she beat Ella Seidel then Anhelina Kalinina.

In a few days, at Wimbledon, Diane Parry will also have to defend a third round achieved on the London turf in 2025.
