The Israeli army issued evacuation warnings on Tuesday to residents of several localities in southern Lebanon, despite the maintenance of the ceasefire and the day after the suspension of hostilities between Israel and Iran.

The Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, called on residents of the city of Tyre, including those in the Christian Quarter, as well as those in Chabriha, Hammadieh, Jal al-Bahr, Zaqqouk al-Mfadi, Al-Bass, Al-Maachouq, Burj al-Shamali, Nabatiyeh, Al-Hawsh, Al-Rashidieh and Ain Baal to evacuate the affected areas.

“Your presence near Hezbollah members, installations or military equipment puts your life in danger,” Adraee said in a message published on the American platform X.

On Monday, Iran announced the end of its attacks against Israel, while warning that it would respond in a “crushing” manner if Israeli strikes in Lebanon continued.

Regional tensions intensified on Sunday after an Israeli bombardment targeting the Lebanese capital Beirut, despite the ceasefire in force. This attack led Iran to launch missiles towards northern Israel, in turn provoking a series of Israeli airstrikes against Iranian targets.
