The Emirates continues to invest in defense to ensure the country’s security in the face of future challenges. This orientation was reaffirmed by the Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, during the second meeting of the Defense Council of the year 2026.
During this meeting, officials reviewed several initiatives aimed at strengthening the operational readiness of the armed forces, improving their effectiveness and supporting national security. Sheikh Hamdan stressed that the Emirates continues to invest in advanced capabilities, innovation and the integration of different national institutions in order to maintain a high level of preparedness.
This strategy intervenes in a tense regional context. Since the start of the regional conflict in February 2026, the Emirates have been faced with numerous missile and drone attacks, testing their defense systems and their ability to respond.
The UAE authorities say that these investments aim not only to strengthen the protection of the territory, but also to guarantee the stability and resilience of the country in the long term.
