8:36 p.m. – Hamas’s military wing confirms the death of its leader
The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, military branch of the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, confirmed the death of their leader, Mohamed Daoud Odeh, killed the day before in an Israeli strike.
“The great martyr Commander Mohammed Ali Odeh [alias] Abou Amr, chief of staff of the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades [a été tué mardi] evening (…) during a cowardly assassination operation which led to his martyrdom, as well as that of his wife and his children, and made a certain number [d'autres] morts et blessés civils »indicates a press release from the Brigades.
Israel announced Tuesday evening that it had targeted this official in a strike and announced his death in the morning. Hamas confirmed his death but without recognizing that the deceased had actually succeeded as head of the al-Qassam Brigades to Ezzedine al-Haddad (killed in mid-May in an Israeli strike) as the Israeli authorities claimed.
6:57 p.m. – Entire area south of the Zahrani River is a “combat zone” says Israel
The Israeli army has warned that it considers “combat zone” the entire area of Lebanese territory located south of the Zahrani, a river flowing about forty kilometers from the border between Israel and Lebanon.
In a message on social networks seeming to mark the end of the more than precarious ceasefire between Israel and the Lebanese Islamist movement Hezbolalh, Colonel Avichay Adraee, Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army, called on all residents found in this region to evacuate to the north bank of the Zahrani.
5:31 p.m. – Strikes on the outskirts of Tire
Israeli strikes hit areas around the city of Tyre, in southern Lebanon, state media and an AFP correspondent reported, after a call from the Israeli army to evacuate large areas of the city and its surroundings.

The White House called “total discovery” a draft agreement exposed by Iranian state television, according to which the United States would have undertaken to lift its naval blockade.
“This information from Iranian state media is not true and the draft framework agreement they have “publié†is a total invention. No one should believe a word Iranian state media puts out.”replied the American executive via one of his official accounts on X, Rapid Response 47.
Iranian state television clarified that the text was not “Pas encore finalise”. According to her, “The United States committed to lifting the naval blockade of Iran and to stop harassing ships traveling to or from the Islamic Republic of Iran.”. In return, Iran would authorize the resumption of commercial maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz within a month, according to the project.
The plan says Iran would continue to manage shipping lanes, inspect ships and impose service charges on ships – measures introduced after the start of the war.
3:23 p.m. – Israel calls for evacuation of Tire and surrounding areas
The Israeli army has called for the evacuation of the city of Tire and its surroundings in southern Lebanon, ahead of planned attacks against pro-Iranian Hezbollah, despite the ongoing truce.
“Urgent alert to the attention of the residents of Tire and the refugee camps and neighboring neighborhoods (…) for your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately (…) north of the Zahrani Riverâ€wrote on his account X Avichai Adraee, the spokesperson for the Israeli army in Arabic.
2:43 p.m. – Oil plunges with optimism around deal
Oil prices plunge amid optimism about the prospect of an agreement between the United States and Iran to end the war.
Around 2:35 p.m. (Paris time), the price of a barrel of Brent from the North Sea, for delivery in July, lost 4.99% to $94.61, shortly after having dropped more than 5%. Its American equivalent, a barrel of West Texas Intermediate, for delivery the same month, fell by 5.94% to $88.31, after having fallen by more than 6%.
12:36 p.m. – Iran assures that Washington wants to overthrow the Islamic Republic
The goal of the United States and Israel remains to overthrow and sow discord within the Islamic Republic, said the Iranian Intelligence Ministry.
“The enemy is now pursuing by other means the objective of overthrowing and dividing the country, which it openly declared at the beginning of the war but which it failed to achieve by military attack.”is written in this press release from the ministry relayed by the Iranian media.
11:30 a.m. – Fighting between Hezbollah and Israeli forces
Hezbollah said it was fighting with Israeli forces in a town on the edge of the « ligne jaune » established in southern Lebanon by Israel, which is expanding its ground operations in the country.
Fighters “engaged in direct clashes with enemy forces” in Zawtar el-Charqiyé, north of the Litani River, the pro-Iranian group wrote in a press release. Hezbollah had claimed responsibility the day before at dawn for shooting and drone attacks against Israeli forces who were trying to infiltrate the town.
11:02 a.m. – Seoul to summon Iranian ambassador
Seoul announced it would summon the Iranian ambassador and convey its « ferme protestation »after an investigation attributing « très probablement » to a missile developed by Iran the attack on a South Korean ship in the Strait of Hormuz in early May.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards considered a resumption of war with the United States unlikely, against a backdrop of diplomatic negotiations, while saying they were ready to face a new attack.

Israel Katz and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Tuesday that the Israeli army had carried out during the day “A strike in Gaza targeting Mohammed Odeh”the new leader of the Ezzdine Al-qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.
Mohammed Odeh long headed the intelligence services of the Ezzedine Al-Qassam brigades, the military wing of Hamas. His appointment as head of the brigades to succeed al-Haddad was never announced or confirmed by the Palestinian Islamist movement.

Ten Indian sailors detained in Iran since July 2025 were released after “Sustained diplomatic efforts”announced the Indian maritime authorities.
