Renewal for three months of aid for road transport and new “ecological bonus” of 5,500 euros maximum for taxis, for the purchase of an electric vehicle
Expected point: the transport sector, particularly “road transport”. The Minister of Transport, Philippe Tabarot, announced “the renewal of the flat-rate aid system for three additional months”. Open since May 12, this counter has already recorded “2,000 requests for assistance submitted”. They will be paid “at the very beginning of June”. Access should be simplified for the month of May.
For river transport, “we have decided to put in place the same aid mechanism”, announces the minister, “with fixed aid depending on the type of barge”.
Another impacted sector: taxis. A mission was launched on April 21, with consultations. Last week, the executive had already announced “the early reimbursement from June of the TICPE”, the tax on fuel.
“In the longer term, and to reduce the sector’s vulnerability to rising fuel prices, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and increase the number of electric taxis, we will set up an ecological bonus specifically dedicated to taxi drivers, adapted to their specific needs, particularly in terms of vehicle size,” announced Philippe Tabarot. Concerning cars whose purchase price could go “up to 65,000 euros”, this aid will go “up to 5,500 euros for the purchase of the electric vehicle”, but on condition that it is “assembled within the economic space European and whose battery is assembled in one of these countries.
Finally, for VTCs, the minister is only asking “quite insistently” to “VTC platforms to make a significant gesture to better take into account the current increase in fuel prices in the price of races”.
