Massive drone attack on Russia kills four
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described as “fully justified” one of the most massive attacks on Russia since the start of the war, which left four dead and mobilized around 600 drones, according to Russian authorities.

The attack took place three days after Russian bombings which left around twenty dead in kyiv and to which the Ukrainian authorities had promised to respond. Volodymyr Zelensky’s message was accompanied by a video showing what appears to be a refinery on fire, without AFP being able to verify its authenticity. “The priority” of kyiv “remains the constant strengthening of the use of long-range strike capabilities”, declared to AFP Robert Brovdi, known as “Madyar”, commander of the unmanned systems forces of the Ukrainian army, during a recent exclusive interview granted before the attack against Moscow and its region. According to kyiv, this Ukrainian attack on the Russian capital is the most “important since the start of the invasion” of Russia in February 2022.

Indian worker dies in drone attack in Moscow region
On X, the Indian embassy in Russia announced the death of an “Indian worker” as well as three people injured during a strike in the Moscow region.

Volodymyr Zelensky judges Ukrainian drone strike against Moscow region “fully justified”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky judged this Sunday “fully justified” the Ukrainian drone attack which left three people dead in the Moscow region, two days after a deadly Russian attack on kyiv. “Our responses to Russia’s prolongation of the war and its attacks on our cities and communities are entirely justified,” Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on social networks, a few hours after Russia claimed to have intercepted more than 500 Ukrainian drones.

Russia launched 287 drones on Ukraine overnight
Russian forces launched 287 drones into Ukraine overnight from Saturday to Sunday, the Ukrainian Air Force announced on Telegram. The Ukrainian military indicates that it was able to neutralize 279 of the 287 Russian aircraft. They targeted the north, south and east of Ukraine.

Several injured in Moscow by Ukrainian drones
Moscow and its region were particularly affected by the attacks from Ukraine. In Moscow itself, more than 80 drones were intercepted and a strike left 12 injured, “especially workers” on a construction site near a refinery, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. “The refinery’s production was not disrupted. Three residential buildings were damaged,” he said.
Ukrainian attacks kill 4 in Russia
Moscow and its region were particularly targeted by the Ukrainian attacks last night. A woman died in Khimki, northwest of Moscow, and two men were killed in a village in Mytishchi (northeast), according to the governor of the region surrounding Moscow, Andrei Vorobiov. One victim was also recorded in the Chebekino district of the Belgorod region.

Russia says it shot down nearly 600 Ukrainian drones overnight from Saturday to Sunday. 556 aircraft were shot down over 14 Russian regions. Moscow and its region were particularly affected. Crimea and the Black and Azov Seas were also among the targets, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. Volodymyr Zelensky warned on Friday that Ukraine would strike Russian oil and military sites, in response to the death of 24 people in Russian strikes in kyiv last Thursday.
