Massive drone attack on Russia kills four

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described as “fully justified” one of the most massive attacks on Russia since the start of the war, which left four dead and mobilized around 600 drones, according to Russian authorities.

Volodymyr Zelensky’s message was accompanied by a video showing what appears to be a refinery on fire, without AFP being able to verify its authenticity. “The priority” of kyiv “remains the constant strengthening of the use of long-range strike capabilities”, declared to AFP Robert Brovdi, known as “Madyar”, commander of the unmanned systems forces of the Ukrainian army, during a recent exclusive interview granted before the attack against Moscow and its region. According to kyiv, this Ukrainian attack on the Russian capital is the most “important since the start of the invasion” of Russia in February 2022.

Moscow and its region were particularly affected by the attacks from Ukraine. In Moscow itself, more than 80 drones were intercepted and a strike left 12 injured, “especially workers” on a construction site near a refinery, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. “The refinery’s production was not disrupted.
