Promotion for Isabelle Chardonnier. Currently regional director of cultural affairs (Drac) for the Grand Est, this state administrator will take the reins of the general direction of cultural democracy, teaching and research of the Ministry of Culture, from June 22, replacing Naomi Peres. An appointment made official in the Council of Ministers.
A former student of Sciences Po Lyon, Isabelle Chardonnier, 54, former territorial administrator, notably worked for a long time on the regional council of the former Rhône-Alpes region, between 1998 and 2016. She worked there, among other things, as director of culture, between 2004 and 2015, then as deputy general director in charge of culture, sports, youth and community life, the following year.
After that, she joined the services of the Ministry of Culture, first as head of the territorial action department at the general secretariat (2016-2020), before spending five years as Drac de Bretagne.
It was in February 2025 that Isabelle Chardonnier took up her latest position at the helm of the Drac du Grand Est.
