Friday June 12 and Saturday June 13, in the cloister located behind the basilica, students in the Breton language and culture sector will present the fruit of their work during a sound and light show.
This year, they were interested in the Seiz Breur, a movement founded between the two wars by Breton artists wishing to modernize Brittany while preserving its cultural specificities. Inspired by this heritage, the young people explored their vision of current society. “This show is the beginning of a response, focusing their hopes and aspirations. A beautiful moment entirely in Breton to enjoy with the family,” says Bruno Belliot, director of the Academy of Music and Sacred Arts. This concert illustrates this institution’s commitment to transmitting a rich and living cultural heritage.
The Breton language and culture sector promotes Breton-French bilingualism through the discovery of traditions and regional heritage. Music, dance, singing, crafts… For the first time, students from the traditional music department of the academy joined the project.
