Due to the orange heatwave vigilance in Gironde, which could move to red vigilance by this Sunday, June 21, 2026, the City of Bordeaux is adapting the music festival program for the safety of all.
A decree signed by Mayor Thomas Cazenave, on Friday June 19, 2026, prohibits any outdoor demonstration between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. this Sunday. There children’s music festivalscheduled from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. parc rivieris therefore canceled due to the risks linked to the heat for young children.
Our desire is to preserve this festive spirit while taking full account of the exceptional weather conditions we are experiencing.
Events organized in indoor locations are maintained and will offer musical and cultural programming in more temperate spaces.
The event at the Cité bleue is canceled
From 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., 12 free “Bordeaux Culture” scenesorganized with nearly 40 operators and local collectives, will enliven parks, squares, squares and emblematic streets, supplemented by independent proposals (bars, streets…). The stages will mainly be installed in enclosed and/or secure spaces.
Initially, 13 stages were planned but the event at the Cité bleue with pop, rock and folk concerts in the Modern Garage was canceled.

The hypercenter will be pedestrianized from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.with a network of first aid stations and information, prevention and mediation systems (awareness stands, mobile teams, water bar, “Ask Angela” spaces) to guarantee a friendly and safe evening.
