British singer Duffy, famous for her hit Mercywas seen in a cafe in a rare recent photo after more than ten years away from the spotlight.

Duffy became world famous in 2008 thanks to her hit Mercyand his career experienced a meteoric rise. However, three years later, she suddenly disappeared from the radar without the public knowing what became of her.

It was only years later that she broke the silence, explaining in 2020 the reason for her absence:

Today, a recent photo of the singer has just appeared. Shared on Facebook, it shows her alongside a cafe employee. Duffy still sports her long, light blonde hair that characterized her at the time.

This is only the second image of her revealed in the space of ten years, after being briefly shown in a TikTok video last March.

Duffy, whose real name is Aimee Ann Duffy, is trying to find her way back to the public. The 41-year-old artist had already announced it in May. On her Instagram account, a first and only photo appeared, showing her from behind in a recording studio. She wrote there:

The British singer devoted herself to pop-soul and enjoyed immense success with her music. She notably won a Grammy, obtained two nominations at the same ceremony, as well as several awards at the Brit Awards in 2009.

It remains to be seen whether she will remain faithful to this musical genre or if she wishes to reinvent herself with the pieces she is currently working on. One thing is certain: her fans can’t wait to hear her sing again, as evidenced by a glance at the comments section on Instagram.
