For many years now, Julia Vignali has established herself as one of the most essential figures in the French audiovisual landscape. But after spending several years at the helm of various shows such as Télématin, The best pastry chef, Deal Done or even Kindergartens, the beautiful brunette is now looking to diversifynotably by landing roles in the cinema or in TV films. In 2008 and 2009, she notably distinguished herself in the television series Second Chancebefore taking on several small roles of no great importance. Now, Kad Merad’s wife is thinking bigger. She, who wanted to get into writing and production, changed her plans somewhat…These projects have transformed a bit, because I don’t write and I don’t produce either! I am working with France Télévisions on a fiction which will take place in the region and in which I will play the main role“, she confided in an interview with our colleagues at TV 7 Days and published in their latest edition dated June 1, 2026.

Julia Vignali soon in the cinema?

However, Julia Vignali does not want to say goodbye to her first love: animation. On the contrary, she is determined to continue to evolve in both areas. “But I will not leave animation for the benefit of comedy, even if I was an actress for ten years. I’m over fifty now and I would like, for the end of my career, to be able to mix the two“, she said enthusiastically.

Since 2016, the host has shared the life of Kad Merad, of whom she even became the wife in November 2022. With such a figure in French cinema at her side, one might believe that Julia Vignali’s acting career is all set in stone. However, the latter does not particularly want to call on her husband, nor even share the poster of a film with him. As she explained to our colleagues, she does not yet feel legitimate for such a project. “I have enormous respect for actors, and a career takes a very long time to build. I admire them too much to pretend to be able to share the poster with them straight away. It takes time and accumulating experience“, she admitted before concluding: “Maybe I had such a big dream when I was 20 or 30 years old. Now my dream is to be close to people, like I am in Affaire Conclue“.

Julia Vignali, not ready to give up television

Her fans can rest assured, Julia Vignali is not about to put her host costume in the closet, quite the contrary! In addition to the show Deal Done of which she has taken over since 2023, she is often contacted to host or co-host one-off shows such as Téléthon, The Great Evening of Paris 31 or else 50 years of disco. One thing is certain: the French love it and the small screen understands it!
