For the first night of the 18th edition of the brass festival, the concert hall of the cultural center is ready to vibrate to the captivating music of Kassav’.
This Thursday, the Brass Festival opens after months of preparation. The grand premiere of the evening will feature Kassav’, a group renowned for their exceptional musical talent.
As true living legends, the members of Kassav’ revolutionized Antillean music by creating zouk in the late 1970s. For over forty years, they have been a staple in the music industry, performing on prestigious stages worldwide, from the Zenith in Paris to the Stade de France, and selling millions of albums.
With a focus on brass instruments, rhythm, and celebration, Kassav’s music is festive and irresistible, blending traditional Caribbean rhythms with modern influences. Their energy brings joy and an incomparable urge to dance. This first performance sets the tone for a festival that continues to grow in popularity year after year.
For this first edition of the festival at the cultural center, record attendance numbers are expected. Both the main festival, attracting thousands on the first night, and the fringe festival under nearby tents, are anticipated to be well-attended.
The space is expected to fill up quickly starting this Thursday afternoon with the festival’s opening, including a performance by the school orchestra at 5:30 pm, showcasing the importance of music in the community.
From the cultural center, the sounds will resonate and fill the Limoux sky for four days, offering a cultural delight to be enjoyed without restraint.
