Jean-Michel Bodorvski, a pianist and professor, has programmed a tribute to the Viennese composer with his students. Exclusively Mozart’s works, born 270 years ago, will be played on the stage of the Annexe on Saturday, April 18th at 5 PM.

The violin and piano students from the MJC, along with the Tamaris and Voix du Monde vocal groups, led by Jean-Michel Bodorvski, will interpret Mozart on the stage of the Annexe on Saturday, April 18th at 5 PM. Titled “Happy Birthday Wolfgang,” the twenty participating students will play a variety of pieces from sonatas to opera arias, minuets, and favorite waltzes. According to Jean-Michel Bodorvski, they will be performed in original compositions by the composer or transcriptions made by him for piano, violin, or four hands on the piano. He further explains that Tamaris is a versatile ensemble created for various projects, occasionally involving parents to form a string quartet or a quartet with vocals, piano, etc. For example, on Saturday, Tamaris will perform “L’Ave Verum” in a string quartet and vocal version.

Jean-Michel Bodorvski also conducts Les Voix du Monde, a children’s choir that sings in the languages used by great composers. They have previously sung in Italian, German, French, English, Russian, and Norwegian. For Saturday, Bodorvski will accompany the children singing Mozart’s Lieder in German, French, and Italian. The ensemble Trioline will also perform four nocturnes under the direction of Marie-Claude Canitrot.

Admission is 12 Euros and free for children under 14. Reservations can be made on Hello Asso or on-site on the day of the show.
