The Coulommiers Pays de Brie agglomeration community continues its cultural commitment through its project “Itinerance en territoires.” In collaboration with the organization Les Concerts de Poche, they are organizing a series of artistic and educational activities for residents, led by two renowned musicians: clarinetist Pierre Genisson and pianist Frank Braley.
A concert will be held this Tuesday, April 14th in Boissy-le-Châtel, marking a key moment in this initiative. On this occasion, Pierre Genisson and Frank Braley will perform a diverse program, including works by Brahms and Poulenc, emblematic pieces for clarinet and piano, as well as the famous “Rhapsody in Blue” by Gershwin, providing an opening to American jazz.
On stage, the two musicians form a recognized duo for their artistic complicity. Their interpretation, both poetic and technical, aligns with the spirit of Les Concerts de Poche, which promote accessible and open music for all audiences.
Leading up to the concert, cultural activities have been initiated since December. In Boissy-le-Châtel, around one hundred participants, including high school students from the agricultural school La Bretonnière in Chailly-en-Brie and students from the school in Beautheil-Saints, have been involved in a collective project.
Guided by choir leader Benjamin Vinit, they are preparing musical pieces that will be presented in the first part of the concert.
A day of interaction between students from the two establishments is also planned. This gathering will include a joint rehearsal and immersive activities to encourage exchanges. Additionally, the program includes cultural outings, meetings with professionals, and a masterclass led by Pierre Genisson.
