The Minister of Territorial Planning, Françoise Gatel, is on a trip to Corsica this Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24. A visit marked by meetings with elected officials and field activities.
On Thursday, she starts in Ajaccio with Mayor Stéphane Sbraggia and Deputy Laurent Marcangeli, before heading to rural areas for exchanges and meetings with the mayors of Southern Corsica. She is also scheduled to meet with the President of the Assembly of Corsica, Marie-Antoinette Maupertuis.
On Friday, she heads to Haute-Corse with a stop in Castello-di-Rostino (local health services, public services), then to Bastia to discuss the city’s major projects with Mayor Gilles Simeoni, followed by discussions with economic actors and elected officials.
This trip comes in a particular context: the upcoming examination of the bill on Corsican autonomy announced for late May or early June, and the recent resignation of Gilles Simeoni from the territorial executive after his election as mayor of Bastia.
