In the middle of the campaign for the American Congress, Jack Schlossberg – grandson of John F. and Jackie Kennedy – left politics aside for a few seconds. During an exclusive interview granted toPeoplethe 33-year-old spoke about how one of the most painful events of his life, the loss of his sister Tatiana Schlossberg, continued to inspire and push him every day. Although it was “really difficult” to campaign so soon after losing his sister – who died in December 2025 from serious leukemia at just 35 years old – the candidate says he knows “perfectly” that she would be proud of him, “because I talk to him every day”. “She wanted me to make sure I fought as hard as I could and I fight for her and with her by my side every day,” he added.
“What I miss most about Tatiana is that there were so many things happening every day that made her laugh with me, and we didn’t have to explain why,” Jack Schlossberg continued. “And it’s just that kind of thing, like with a best friend, where you know what the other person is thinking without having to ask.”
