This weekend is still expected to be cloudy and rainy but, like every week in Brussels, there are multiple events for all tastes!
For architecture lovers, the weekend’s event will undoubtedly be the festival of the new European Bauhaus. Hosted at the art and history museum at Parc du Cinquenaire, the festival is accessible free of charge until Saturday June 13 at 9 p.m. Certain workshops and exhibitions are also organized in this context at Bozar. Initiated by the European Commission, the festival is celebrating its third edition. Its goal is to promote architecture that “supports the ecological transition of our buildings and improves everyone’s daily lives.” This 2026 edition has the theme “democratic commitment”. HAS
For athletes and cycling enthusiasts, the BXL Tour offers for its 10th edition the opportunity to cover 40 or 32 kilometers across the city, taking advantage of a route entirely closed to traffic!
Registrations are still open and will remain open until the evening of Saturday, June 13. The departure will be from the Place des Palais, opposite the royal palace and the Brussels park.
From Friday to Sunday, the “Urban Archeology Days” will also take place, from Friday June 12 to Sunday June 14. This 7th Brussels edition takes place as part of the European Archeology Days. Several sites will therefore be visitable throughout the capital. Here the complete program.
And for the more festive, several options including here two selections. On the Flanders side, the Maatwerk festival takes place on Saturday June 13, in Vilvoorde just above the northern border of Brussels. The electronic music festival will offer concerts and DJ sets for 10 hours and on two different stages. And in Brussels, the Play Label Open Air returns this Saturday June 13 with an open air on the famous Place du Congrès. This year’s headliner is house DJ Bless Madonna.
