Gaël and Henri-Simon have a dream: to become Prince Charming. They are therefore candidates for the competition offered by the National Prince Charming Agency. This is the starting pitch of the piece Charming but not only by Elie Laffage and Tony Saunier, who play the two characters. Their collaboration was born from their shared passion for theater.
“We thus wanted to address the themes of difference, identity, stereotypes.”
The two friends were keen to create a show so they could play together. Élie having already created a play around Snow White, the world of tales quickly took hold. “As men, we wondered about the place of princes charming in tales, and the “There was no shortage of examples”, write the two actors and authors in their play press release. We thus wanted to address the themes of difference, identity, stereotypes to try to emancipate ourselves from a virilist culture which does not resemble us […]. With enormous humility and a certain dose of humor, we want to tell how two men can trace their own path outside of the road that has been traced for them. » A piece to discover at the Pantograph after having presented Blache Neige et Rillettes et Pfins.
Saturday June 13, at 8:30 p.m., at the Pantographe, avenue de la Gare, in Venarey-Les Laumes.
