Alliance 47 is organizing a film debate on Thursday June 18 at the CGR in Agen around the film *see you tomorrow on the moon*. An evening to approach the end of life differently, followed by an exchange with palliative care professionals and the association’s volunteers.
The Alliance 47 association is offering a film debate on Thursday June 18 at 8 p.m. at the CGR in Agen, in partnership with the palliative care team. An initiative designed to address issues related to the end of life in a different way, through the screening of the film *see you tomorrow on the moon*.
The feature film tells the story of Amandine, 39, confronted with terminal cancer. In the film, the young woman prepares her loved ones for her departure while continuing to live each moment fully, with a form of serenity and gratitude in the face of illness.
At the end of the screening, a time for discussion is planned with health professionals, in order to answer questions from the public and discuss the realities of palliative care and support for people at the end of life. The association, which works throughout the year with patients and their families, wishes to open an accessible space for discussion.
For Monique Nicolas, representative of Alliance 47, this is not a heavy meeting. “It’s not a sad event. The objective is to bring a lively side”, she underlines, recalling the importance of playing down these subjects which are often difficult to approach.
In this approach, Alliance 47 emphasizes the human dimension of its action, which aims to accompany, listen and support, but also to raise awareness among the general public of end-of-life issues.
