Shakira has made rare confessions about the importance of her role as a mother in her life.
A fulfilled and stronger mother. It was during an exclusive interview with “People” that singer Shakira returned to a complicated period in her life: her separation from Gérard Piqué, with whom she had two children, Milan and Sasha.
During this interview, the singer spoke in particular about the key role that her children played in the mourning of her relationship.
Shakira, stronger thanks to her children
As a reminder, it was after twelve years of relationship that Shakira and Gérard Piqué decided to separate. It was through a press release that the former couple announced the news: “We regret to confirm to you that we are separating. “A complicated breakup during which the couple had already placed the well-being of their children at the heart of their concerns. “For the well-being of our children, who are our absolute priority, we ask you to respect their private lives,” they added.
While Shakira returned in detail to her breakup with Gérard Piqué, which occurred in 2022, to “People”, the singer spoke in particular about the importance of keeping her head on her shoulders while she raises her two sons. She reveals: “When your world is falling apart, you have to get up, pay the bills, still make breakfast and take your kids to school. Life must move forward. HAS”
Motherhood changes a woman
Still during her confidences for the cover issue of “People” magazine, Shakira continued her revelations by explaining what motherhood has brought to her life. She says: “Motherhood makes you strong,” before adding: “The moment I became a mother, I saw life from a different perspective, and my children are not only the best thing that has happened to me, but I have learned so much from them every day. HAS”
Shakira adds that she has only one goal: to take care of her children, from whom she continues to learn every day. “I just think about raising my children. I don’t see that at the moment. Through these difficult times, I discovered how resilient we all are. HAS”
