"Our devastating blows will crush you" : Iran threatens to extend the war in the event of an American attack

The Revolutionary Guards, Iran’s ideological army, vowed Wednesday to expand the war “beyond the region” of the Middle East if the United States and Israel attack the country again.

This declaration comes as a ceasefire has been in force since April 8 between Tehran and Washington, after more than a month of war, triggered by an Israeli-American attack against Iran on February 28, 2026.

“If the aggression against Iran is repeated, the promised regional war will this time extend well beyond the region, and our devastating blows will crush you,” the Guardians said in a statement published on their Sepah News website.

On Tuesday, American President Donald Trump once again threatened to strike Iran if an agreement to permanently end the war was not found with this country, while reiterating that he hoped not to have to wage war.

He said he would give Tehran “two or three days, perhaps Friday, Saturday, Sunday, something like that, perhaps at the beginning of next week.” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, for his part, warned that a “return to war would hold many more surprises” from his country.

The strikes launched on February 28 cost the lives of several senior Iranian officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, triggering retaliatory attacks from Tehran across the region.
