Bixente Lizarazu can be proud of his son. At 31, Tximista has left France to try his luck in the United States. And the young entrepreneur is doing extremely well as he has just sold his startup to aim even higher.

Bixente Lizarazu is a fulfilled father. At 56, the football legend lives in the Basque Country with his partner, actress Claire Keim, and their 17-year-old daughter Uhaina. And though his son Tximista, born from his previous relationship with Stephanie, does not live by his side, it is because he is making a name for himself in another country. At 31, the young man is living his American dream by excelling in entrepreneurship in the United States. Born in Ciboure in 1995, he first studied at KEDGE Bordeaux before launching his first clothing brand called “Overturn,” which he sold around 100,000 pieces of. Arriving in New York six years ago, Tximista Lizarazu wanted to take on a bigger challenge by launching his startup “Fraishe,” a brand of smart fridges filled with meals prepared by chefs and placed directly in office buildings. A real hit as his connected fridges are used in over twenty buildings in Manhattan.

Such success led to his brand “Fraishe” being acquired in May 2025 by the giant “CookUnity.” And the name Tximista, meaning “bright” in Basque, was appointed as the B2B Development Director. A great opportunity for the young entrepreneur who “wanted to build an impactful business, but we lacked the necessary resources to achieve it alone and reach the scale we were aiming for. The collaboration with a much larger player like CookUnity therefore happened naturally,” as reported by “Ouest-France.” An impressive journey that brings joy to his famous father Bixente Lizarazu. “So proud of the man you have become and the incredible journey from the Basque Country to New York today. The father forged his legend in Europe. The son is writing his own on the other side of the Atlantic,” wrote the former 1998 World Cup champion, who only swears by this restaurant on his Instagram account.

Tximista Lizarazu has embraced the American dream to the fullest with a magnificent apartment overlooking the Empire State Building and Madison Square Park. In fact, his father stayed there during their unusual trip together in the United States on April 3. And when Tximista returns to his native Basque Country to spend Christmas, he rents out his pied-à-terre. “I am renting out my New York apartment from December 15 to January 15,” he wrote in his Instagram story in 2024, sharing several photos of the property. But the two-bedroom apartment in the Flatiron District, Manhattan, is not for all budgets. The rental price for the entire month was €12,781 as shown on the Airbnb listing.
