Former England international Raheem Sterling has been arrested after a crash involving a Lamborghini on the M3 motorway in Hampshire. The 31-year-old, now at Feyenoord, is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs, dangerous driving, possession of a class C drug and refusing to provide a sample.

According to The Athletic, his Lamborghini hit the security barriers shortly before 9 a.m. No other vehicles were involved in the accident and no injuries were reported. The driver, Raheem Sterling, 31, was immediately arrested for several suspicions of offences: driving a vehicle while unfit due to drugs, dangerous driving, possession of a class C drug and refusing to provide a sample during an alcohol test.

“He has been released on bail while our investigations continue”
Released by Chelsea in January, Raheem Sterling was able to bounce back by signing with Feyenoord in February, stringing together eight convincing matches in the Dutch championship.
