The fate of the fragile diplomatic efforts, even of the ceasefire concluded on April 8 between Iran and the United States, seemed uncertain to say the least this Tuesday, May 26, after an outbreak of fever linked to the American strikes carried out last night against Iran, the first since the truce came into force.
These raids, described as “defensive†by Washington and occurring while final negotiations were underway to secure a preliminary agreement between the two countries, targeted, according to the American army, boats which were trying to lay mines in the Arab-Persian Gulf as well as missile launch sites, according to several media.
