The Simppar (International Exhibition of Raw Materials for Perfumery) will return to Grasse tomorrow and Wednesday on the course Honoré-Cresp, opposite the Palais des Congrèsfor the second time in its history.
Since 2024, the show now alternates one year in Paris and one year in the world capital of perfume.
This event, reserved only for professionals, weighs heavily on the sector.
A must-have for professionals
He claims to be “the oldest and most important European meeting devoted to raw materials used in perfumeryâ€Â: essential oils, natural extracts, synthetic molecules, bottles, equipment or even specialized software.
Created in 1991 in Paris by the French Society of Perfumers under the name of Journées des matés rèrères, the show has gradually grown over the years.
First organized in a more ad hoc manner, it became annual after the Covid period. Renamed Simppar in 2011, it today brings together several thousand professionals from all over the world.
Around fifteen additional exhibitors
During its last Parisian edition, organized in June 2025, the show welcomed 128 exhibitors from twenty-four countries and recorded more than 4,000 entries in two daysincluding nearly 350 perfumers.
In Grasse, the event above all allows us to reconnect the global perfume industry with its historical territory.
This year, 115 individual tents will be deployed, i.e. around fifteen additional exhibitors compared to the previous edition in Grasse.
For two days, producers, buyers, noses, research and development managers or specialized suppliers will come to discover the latest raw materials, negotiate contracts or spot new trends in the sector.
