Appointed chief of staff to Grégory Bobbato, Pierre Boileau-Roussel, 26, puts his background in geopolitics and his experience of the Olympic Games at the service of the Fleurantine municipality.
Hired at the start of his term, Pierre Boileau-Roussel is the new chief of staff of the mayor of Fleurance, Grégory Bobbato. Hired at the start of his mandate, the young cabinet director (he is 26 years old) will have the mission of assisting the councilor in the implementation of the municipality’s political projects. A transversal role which implies direct participation in the activity of the territorial authority, but also close coordination between elected officials and municipal services.

Originally from Béziers, within a Toulouse family, Pierre Boileau-Roussel has an academic background focused on territorial and geopolitical issues. After a degree in social geography and political development of territories at the University of Bordeaux-Montaigne, he continued with a master’s degree in geopolitics at the University of Paris-VIII, also obtaining a university diploma in the professionalization of actors in crisis management at Paris-Sorbonne.
“I attach a lot of importance to the territories and the people who support them,” he explains. His studies led him to produce two research papers, always linked to geopolitical and territorial issues.
From the Olympic flame to Fleurance town hall
Before joining Fleurance town hall, he worked within the National Coordination for the security of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In this capacity, he participated in the organization of the Olympic torch relay. “During his visit to Fleurance, I was on the organizing bus. This allowed me to meet the players in Fleurance,” he says.

“My job is to ensure good coordination so that projects move forward in a constructive spirit,” he specifies. He also supports newly elected officials in their missions and participates in the organization of municipal communication with Morgane Leclercq, who very recently arrived at town hall. He also manages the mayor’s agenda.
Prepared in just a few days, the May 8 ceremony was already a reflection of this cooperation. People were at the windows to watch the parade which moved from the town hall to the war memorial. The presence of singers Philippe Candelon and Jeanne Rottier, that of schools, teachers and children, helped to give a special dimension to this commemoration, praised for its quality and dignity.
