On Monday, April 13, 2026, the function hall hosted a remarkable meeting. Rostrenen FC showcased its originality by organizing a conference on refereeing, an initiative praised by the municipal officials, whose support is essential to the club’s dynamism. Led by vice-president Joris Étourneau, the evening combined the experience of former international referee Saïd Ennjimi and the youth of Mayeul Prigent (En Avant Guingamp).
Saïd Ennjimi recounted a destiny that began by chance in Limoges: “An referee was needed for the neighborhood’s big players to play.” This gesture led him to the top of professional football. For him, the whistle is a life school that shapes character. Having started out in Rostrenen, Mayeul Prigent confirmed that this perspective on the game allows him to acquire early maturity, developing his sense of responsibility and solid self-confidence.
The debate addressed incivility among young people. Saïd Ennjimi advocates for pedagogy through dialogue and considers the white card relevant if the coach explains the mistake on the sidelines. The rise of amateur video is also seen as a lever for progressing calmly.
The evening ended with a question-and-answer game and entertaining anecdotes from Saïd Ennjimi. This highlight serves as a reminder that the future of football will rely on better communication. The club once again thanks the municipality for its support in the success of this event that enhances the civic education of our athletes.
