Benjamin Netanyahu reacts to the conclusion of an agreement between Washington and Tehran. The Israeli Prime Minister, who launched the offensive against Iran at the end of February with the United States, affirmed, Monday June 15, that the Israeli army would remain in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria “as long as necessary”. The memorandum of understanding announced on Sunday is supposed to end the war in the Middle East on all grounds, including in Lebanon, where the Israeli army is waging a campaign against Hezbollah.

“We established large security zones around Israel. We did it in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.”he declared during a press conference. “I want to make it clear: we will remain in these safe zones for as long as it takes to protect our country.” Israel has been engaged for months in military operations in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon and Iran. Some of the war objectives stated by the Israeli army have not been achieved.

“Most importantly, we saved the State of Israel from the threat of nuclear annihilation.”also declared the leader on Monday during this press conference during which he defended his record and Israeli military operations. The memorandum of understanding announced on Sunday between Iran and the United States does not detail the future of the Iranian nuclear program, which will be one of the subjects of discussions on an agreement itself.
