The old V1 site of Gazan woodlocated 8 route d’Auppegard in Bertreville-Saint-Ouen (Seine-Maritime), will be open to the public on the weekend of June 13 and 14, 2026. Thanks to the collective of volunteers united, under the association for the preservation of the site, this military place little by little reveals its secrets.
Discovering secret weapons
During these two days, the public will be able to delve into history and discover how a V1 launch base worked, these secret weapons developed by the German army during the Second World War.
On the program for the two days, guided tours with the discovery of the launch pad and other infrastructures. A military camp will be set up on the site with reconstruction and presentation of period materials by the History Bacqueville 44 association.
But there will also be exhibitions on the V1s, on the history of the site and its latest discoveries.
A retro evening is organized on Saturday evening from 7 p.m. with a concert by singer Nidcy Namite. An evening to which everyone is invited to come in period attire! Free entry.
