It is in this context that surveillance of the Mourillon beaches will be officially launched on Wednesday June 10 at 9:30 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the main aid station, symbolizing the deployment of the surveillance and rescue system for the entire summer period.
This official launch marks the beginning of the daily presence of rescue swimmers on one of the most popular seaside sites in the Var. Their mission will be to ensure the safety of the thousands of Toulon residents and tourists who come to enjoy the coastline. This device is essential to prevent the risk of drowning and guarantee a peaceful season for all families.
Committed youth in the spotlight before the Maritime Prefecture
Later in the afternoon, at 4:00 p.m., the focus will be on youth and civic values with the Defense Cadet graduation ceremony. The event will take place in a prestigious and highly symbolic setting for the port city: the square of the Maritime Prefecture.
This national program, carried out in partnership with the armed forces, aims to strengthen the link between youth and National Defense. During their training, these young volunteer middle and high school students discover the military world, participate in sporting and cultural activities, and are made aware of the notions of citizenship, memory and commitment.
