- A vast Iranian network was operating on American soil to steal their technologies.
- The swindled goods were then destined for the Revolutionary Guards.
- But how could this “fairly sophisticated setup” work behind the United States’ back?
The United States has detected a vast Iranian network. Behind their backs, the mullahs’ regime managed to divert strategic military technologies and tools whose delivery directly served the interests of the Revolutionary Guards. A story worthy of a spy film.
“A fairly sophisticated montage”
according to the Americans. Ali Madj Spehr, an Iranian sponsor, based in his country, operated with the help of accomplices by creating fake websites of fake companies resembling existing American companies. “Once the sites were created, it made it possible to contact other American companies and trade with them”
explains Marion Russell, LCI journalist.
Delivery was then scheduled to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, an ally of the United States. Everything was going as planned, until intermediaries clandestinely imported these technologies to Iran. “We know that the sums defrauded are counted in millions of dollars”
specifies Marion Russell, citing the American State Department.

Iranian intermediaries have thus sought to acquire strategic and cutting-edge equipment such as spectrum analyzers, decisive in this electronic war. “This announcement comes in a context where the United States is seeking to dismantle the financial mechanisms of the Revolutionary Guards.”
