The female football team from Toulouse will return to the First League starting next season. Hosted at the Departmental Council, the Violettes were able to meet young players and exchange with them about their journeys. Thanks to this victory, the TFC team is inspiring a whole generation of young local athletes.
It is a triumph for local football: the female TFC players will rejoin the First League next season. They secured their promotion to the elite by defeating Thonon Évian Grand at the Stadium on April 5th.
To celebrate the event, they were invited to the Departmental Council of Haute-Garonne this Wednesday afternoon. Forty members of the Jeune Entente Toulousaine club also made the trip.
A question and answer session allowed young players, aged ten to fifteen, to interact with the champions. A signing session provided them with a souvenir.
“The players must inspire the new generations,” confirms Olivier Cloarec, president of the TFC. The aim is for amateur players to aspire to join professional structures. Their victory is a true achievement and a great satisfaction for the entire club.
“This team fills me with joy,” says Josée Da Silva, a leader of the TFC association. “Women’s sports are vital in highlighting the city, the department, and the region. It is important for institutions to receive us.”
Sébastien Vincini, president of the Departmental Council, congratulated the Violettes on their performance and thanked them for their presence. Through this meeting, they aim to highlight the commitment of young athletes. Their victory goes beyond high-level sports: they are a source of inspiration and promote gender equality.
