Nîmes Olympique

Depres and Benhamza injured. The captain and top scorer of Nîmes were injured this Tuesday morning. Clément Depres’s left knee was slightly swollen, and the staff didn’t want to take any risks four days before a crucial match in Limonest. If the situation of the striker (who is not in pain) does not improve, he will work in the gym on Wednesday and Thursday, focusing on specific attacking drills. Othmane Benhamza, who took a hit on his ankle against Istres, has also been injured and should return on Wednesday or Thursday based on the pain level. Pablo Martinez’s finger, injured in Rousset during training last Saturday, got slightly infected, but it’s not serious for the defender who trained normally this Tuesday.

Restart in June or July? If the last match happens on Saturday, the Crocodiles won’t be on vacation after the Limonest game. The players will continue training at the Bastide training center, whether they are promoted to Ligue 3 or not. From Monday to Wednesday, players will have individual meetings with the management. Only from Thursday will the Nîmes players be free. The length of their vacation will depend on the division in which Nîmes Olympique will be. If it’s Ligue 3, training will resume on June 25th (with the first matchday on August 8th), and if it’s National 1, training will start on July 9th.

Olympique d’Alès en Cévennes

Ending without regrets. With a 0-3 victory over Montpellier’s reserve team, Olympique d’Alès en Cévennes keeps the dream of promotion alive. They would need favorable results from other teams to secure the promotion. But before looking at the standings, Alès must win their last match of the season against Marseille’s reserve team on Saturday at 6 p.m. The club has a tradition of finishing seasons strongly and has been performing well in recent years, with a current streak of five consecutive victories.
