“We are champions almost 99.9%,” celebrated Parisian coach Luis Enrique after the 1-0 victory against Brest, which virtually secures the title for PSG with two more games to play.

To mathematically confirm their title since Wednesday against Lens, Parisians must not lose to the Sang et or, their runners-up who are six points behind and with a significantly lower goal difference (+29 compared to +44 for PSG).

“We are still hungover from Munich”

“We must highlight what Lens has done all season, they have been at an incredible level. It has been very difficult for us, the last two championships we won were easier,” reacted the Parisian coach.

“We are still hungover from Munich,” joked Luis Enrique referring to the qualification for the Champions League final achieved against Bayern Munich. According to him, there was no celebration in the dressing room “because the most important match of this season is still missing,” the Champions League final on May 30th in Budapest.

This success against Brest “allows us to prepare individually for the last two championship matches that remain in order to arrive in the best physical, mental, individual, and collective conditions” for the final against Arsenal, added Luis Enrique. The Spanish coach also praised the young Parisian goalkeeper Renato Marin, who made several decisive saves in his second appearance for PSG. “He has shown his level, he has done a very good job,” emphasized the Asturian.
