In this end of the season, calculations are running wild. Mèze and Sète have ambitions, Asfac and Balaruc must make their mark!

At a time when wars are a source of preoccupation, and economic difficulties affect many families, there are still some reasons to focus on other things. Sport and its uncertainties are part of it. The suspense of the end of the regional football season often adds a bit of spice for leaders, players, and supporters. This is especially the case in the final stages when juggling with the points adds up based on results. Sport also involves mental calculations!

The Thau teams have taken a break, and with three rounds to go, nothing is certain except for Mèze, for whom a podium finish in R3 remains a legitimate goal.

In R1, Asfac still needs to gather some points. Mende and Nîmes Olympique will visit Lucien-Jean, while Muscatiers will go to Fabrègues. Among the eight teams not yet assured, attention will also be on Blagnac’s results in N3 where there are two rounds left. Another win for Haute-Garonne would reduce the number of relegations in the R1 pool to two.

The SC Sète has the upper hand

For the Sète team in R2, despite the surprising defeat of Castelnau against Lattes, things have moved in the right direction. Everything should now come down to one match on May 17th. SC Sète has the advantage, with two wins and a draw against the runner-up being enough. The outcome is nearing, but the focus of the “Green and White” on the goal must remain intact, as every match will be a final to achieve the Grail.

For Stade Balarucois, the upcoming reception of Pignan looks crucial, even if the following two matches against Saint-André and Vendargues will not be easy. Victory is imperative. With three points, to which the attackers should add two goals of difference, there would be material to invigorate a squad that has lacked consistency. In this sprint, where opponents are close, woe to the defeated!
