Ligue 1+ is coming to the end of its first season and is already preparing the ground for its second year. Between Friday, April 24 and Sunday, April 26, the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) platform will broadcast eight out of the nine matches of the 31st day of the French Championship for free. Only the game between Olympique Lyonnais and Auxerre, broadcast by Bein Sports, will not be available for free next weekend.

Jérôme Cazadieu, editorial and marketing director of LFP Media, explained to L’Equipe that the objective for next season is to offer all the Ligue 1 matches. To attract as many consumers as possible, the channel has devised this special plan for the upcoming day.

“The idea is to introduce Ligue 1+ to as many people as possible in preparation for next season. There will be matches, as well as magazines, and a multiplex. The platform will be free from Friday to midnight on Sunday,” he explained to the sports daily.

In February, the Ligue channel announced that it had already attracted over a million subscribers. The goal is to reach 1.16 million by the end of the current period and 2.1 million in the 2028-2029 season.

To enjoy the 31st day, those interested who are not yet subscribers just need to create an account on the platform. They can do so directly on the website or the app, as well as through other distributors with whom a partnership has been established. “For this J31, we will showcase our expertise in the Sunday evening fixture between OM and Nice, with the Spider Cam and a new test of referee sound,” Cazadieu promised.
