On the occasion of the 24th day of the Liqui Moly StarLigue, PSG managed to win against Limoges (28-32). The Parisians remain undefeated and solid leaders in the championship.

The Paris Saint-Germain handball team regained some momentum this Saturday in the championship. Defeated by Veszprém following their draw (35-35) in the eighth-final second leg of the Champions League, about ten days ago, the Parisians were defeated this Wednesday in the French Cup semi-final against Montpellier (39-35). A challenging period for Luka Karabatic and his teammates who needed to do well for their match in the framework of the 24th day of the Liqui Moly StarLigue against Limoges (4th). The Parisians were solid and further strengthened their unbeaten record in the championship (28-32).

Lovkvist outstanding

In this match, the PSG players took control, setting the pace and scoring the first two goals of the match through Karlsson (3 goals). PSG took the lead, but Limoges gradually seized the opportunity and came back into the game with three consecutive goals (10-10, 18th minute). An equalizer that sparked PSG to score three consecutive goals in return, thanks in particular to Lyse (2 goals). An advantage that PSG held onto until the break (14-16, 30th minute).

Upon returning from halftime, the Parisians saw Limoges, led by Faruk (8 goals), challenge them greatly and equalize once again after just ten minutes in the second period (20-20, 39th minute). This is when PSG sealed the match. Shortly after, PSG extended their lead by two then three goals (24-27, 52nd minute), benefiting from strong periods by Solé (7 goals) and Omar (6 goals). Towards the end of the match, the Limoges players tried once again to turn the game around, but they were met with the excellent form of Danish goalkeeper Lovkvist and his 16 saves, which deterred Limoges’ attacks. PSG maintained their advantage until the end, securing their 23rd win of the season (28-32). Limoges, on the other hand, is 4th and retains a two-point lead over Chambéry.
